Booking Policies

Everything you need to know before your appointment — thoughtfully set out so your experience with Royal Coronet is seamless from deposit to final touch-up.

Deposits & payments

  • A NON-REFUNDABLE 50% deposit is required no later than 48 hours prior to the set booking date. Dates and makeup times are only reserved once the deposit is received.
  • All outstanding balances must be settled via EFT immediate payment on the day of your appointment.
  • A signed contract together with the 50% deposit is required to secure bridal and package bookings.

Cancellations & rescheduling

  • Cancellations are to be done no later than 48 hours prior to the booking date. After 48 hours you forfeit your deposit.
  • Bridal cancellations are to be done no later than 10 business days prior to the set appointment date, or you forfeit 50% of your deposit.
  • Should you wish to reschedule and the deposit has already been paid, that deposit may be carried over to your next appointment ONCE only.

Punctuality & timing

  • Late-coming is not tolerated, however a 20 minute grace period is given for all appointments. After 20 minutes of not showing up the booking is automatically cancelled.
  • Bookings earlier than 06:00 and after 18:00 attract an additional R200 fee.
  • Call-time for a full day booking ends at 15:00. After 15:00 an after-hours fee of R250 per hour applies should the makeup artist be requested to stay longer.
  • An additional fee of R1,500 per hour is charged for delays caused after the makeup artist has arrived and set up at the scheduled time.

Travel & call-out fees

  • Call-out fee: within a 10km radius R300, within 20km R500, within 40km R800. Anything further is charged on the quotation.
  • Toll-gate fees are charged separately.
  • Studio location for in-house bookings is sent directly to you as soon as your booking is confirmed.

Flight travel & overnight stays

  • Return flight tickets are to be arranged and provided by the client.
  • Hotel or BnB accommodation is to be arranged and provided by the client, and must be no less than a 4-star rating.
  • The makeup artist will NOT under any circumstance accept accommodation at the client's residential home.
  • At least one full meal a day is to be catered for by the client.
  • Destination bookings outside South Africa are quoted upon request.

On the day

  • For bridal clients the room must be completely free of distractions and empty of any other personnel except the bride, the artist and the photographer, so the work can be done timeously and flawlessly.
  • The makeup artist's kit is to be handled STRICTLY by the makeup artist. No other individual — clients, relatives, friends or guests — may touch the kit or its contents.
  • Certain styles may attract extra charges. We require an inspiration look for final quotes.

Health, allergies & preferences

  • In order for us to give you the best experience, information regarding your allergies, reactions or preferences with regard to makeup products or tools is imperative PRIOR to us confirming your booking.

Images & privacy

  • Your pictures may be posted on all of our platforms including social media. Please inform us should you prefer privacy and we will refrain from posting your pictures.
  • Personal information shared with us is used solely to manage your booking, quotation and invoicing, and is never sold or shared with third parties.
